My resolution for the New Year was to use my Nikon more often. I’m happy to report that I achieved this goal. On a recent trip to San Francisco and Yosemite, I alternated my photography between the trusty ol’ NIkon D3100 (fitted with a Nikkor 55-200mm Zoom lens) and my well-worn iPhone 13 Mini that is probably due for an upgrade other than — oh, you know — my concern for this little thing called the environment. At any rate, I’m posting some fave photos from the recent trip. Can you tell which of these was captured via Nikon versus iPhone?

No, we did not stay at The Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite Valley–but it looked nice! (Nikon)

Yours truly in the Stanislaus National Forest. Living in the United States under a wannabe-fascist regime, I would do well to glean wisdom from the ancient tress. They have seen it all and held their ground (iPhone)
Back in San Francisco on our last night in California. This was Burlingame, to be precise (iPhone)
Also Nob Hill. Have you ever stopped to think about how strange it is to be a human? We’re basically these living bobblehead bipods. It’s kind of amazing how we can stand upright as well as we do, no? Am I overthinking this? (Nikon)

  1. Wow! Looks like a fabulous trip, Gina! And you’ve really captured the spirit of San Fran especially in your city (street) photos. No, I cannot tell the difference btw. Nikon vs iPhone – but to be honest, I’m viewing this on an older model iPhone now, too! 😆 Lovely pics, all.

    1. It was a great trip — the perfect balance of city and nature. Thank you! 🙂
