I spent 10 days in California earlier this summer. All but one of the following photos were taken on the approximately two-mile stroll from Santa Monica Pier to Venice Beach using a Nikon D3100 fitted with a zoom lens. Dreamy!

Yesterday, I wandered a two block stretch of Sea Bright, one of the many seaside boroughs in Monmouth County, New Jersey. On this occasion, I challenged myself to take photos using solely manual settings on my Nikon D3100.
