This post is dedicated to our lovely feathered friends, who are truly quite stunning creatures, when you really stop to think about it. Zoo Adorable

The oldest zoo in America, the Philadelphia Zoo was chartered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1859 but delayed by the onset of the American Civil War. The zoo first opened its doors on July 1st, 1874. 138 years later, the zoo is still going strong, and remains one of the top family-friendly tourist destination in the city.
