Art as Self-Reflection

There is an adage which states: “We see only what we want to see.”

Scanning through images captured this past month, I am vividly reminded of this statement.

I notice how time and again, I’ve attempted to capture the ethereal, as if to show the viewer how — even though I often find myself stuck in the mire of daily existence — there exists a world just beyond the veil of illusion where anything is possible . . .
