One Weekend in Mexico

A weekend trip to a foreign country might seem like a silly notion. However, I gave it a go and learned a lesson which, to some, may be an obvious one — that is: if you’re going to visit paradise, be sure to stay longer than one weekend! But alas, Jeff and I had our reasons. The weekend (albeit short) was a beautiful one. Two of our dear friends are now wedded together, and we were able to join them in the festivities. ¡Qué bonita!

  1. Lovely photographs of what looks like a very happy occasion. Congrats to the happy couple!

  2. Thanks for your comment! And yes, they sure picked a gorgeous spot for a wedding. 🙂

  3. Better to have traveled than to have never traveled at all, even if it is just for a weekend :). I recognize the groom, I think Jeff was with him at The Holdsteady concert back in 2006 at First Ave. I remember I ran into Jessi, Jeff and I’m pretty sure that guy. That was a great concert!

My favorite (although it was difficult to choose) pictures you took were “After the Rain” and the Poolside day/night shots and also the plane over the water. You are such a fantastic photographer G, keep shooting! 🙂

Glad you got to have a little vacay and can’t wait to hear more about it.

  4. Hi Ilona,

Yes, we’ve known Nate for years and years. He’s “good shit,” as they say. Nikki, his wife, is an absolute sweetheart, as well.

Thanks for the encouragement re: my photography. I very much enjoy traveling to new places and documenting what I find there. Can’t wait to see Oregon . . . hopefully that will be our next trip!
