“It was an early morning yesterday
I was up before the dawn
And I really have enjoyed my stay
But I must be moving on.”
-Supertramp
I recently closed the door on the Philadelphia chapter of my life. As I type these words, I’m in our new place a block from Long Branch Beach. I’m now officially a resident of this beachside town, but in so many ways I feel like a traveler just passing through. At the very least, my new environs provide a particularly lovely view (especially on those rare occasions when I’m up in time to capture the sun rising over the ocean).
The following photo was taken at around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning. I used a Nikon D3100, then used the “Nashville” filter on Instagram to edit the image. I hope to capture many more like it while I’m here, for however long that may be.

Very nice
Thanks, Katy! Hope your Minnesota summer is off to a good start. I keep seeing photos online of the Northern Lights that were visible frome some parts of the state a week ago.
It takes a couple years to feel like a new tiw
LOL, my thumbs are also fumbling this morning. Anyway, yes, I agree that it takes a couple of years until a place feels like home. I have to be careful not to isolate in the beginning; that always seems to be tempting for me when I move to a new location.
